A house with history
This was no ordinary repaint. Number 39 Frognal was designed in 1885 by the celebrated architect Richard Norman Shaw for the children's book illustrator Kate Greenaway — an Arts and Crafts home of tile-hung gables and a light-filled top-floor studio, where she lived and worked for the last sixteen years of her life. It carries an English Heritage blue plaque in her name.
